I'm Tyler Lucas, and I've spent the last six years detailing vehicles and the last five years building and operating my own business, Lucas Detailing LLC.
Along the way, I learned that running a successful detailing business takes a lot more than knowing how to make a vehicle look its best. That's why I created DetailGrid.

The Story
From the Shop to
Something Bigger
I got into detailing because I loved cars. There's something incredibly satisfying about taking a vehicle that needs attention and transforming it into something the owner can be proud of.
What started as a passion eventually became Lucas Detailing LLC, a business I've run for the last five years and built from the ground up in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.
Over the years, I've worked on everything from everyday interior and exterior details to paint correction, buffing, polishing, and ceramic coatings.
I've also had the opportunity to work with other automotive businesses, performing paint correction and polishing on brand-new Chevrolet Camaros and C8 Corvettes.
Those experiences taught me the importance of precision, professionalism, and attention to detail—not just when working on a vehicle, but when running a business.
I've also been fortunate enough to see Lucas Detailing recognized as Boundary County's Best Detailing Service four years in a row.

You can spend hours perfecting a paint correction, only to come home and still have estimates to write, invoices to send, appointments to organize, and customers to follow up with. I wanted a better way to manage all of it.
Not another complicated system built for massive companies. Not five different apps that barely work together. I wanted one place where detailers could manage the everyday operations of their business without unnecessary complexity.
So I started building DetailGrid. What began as an idea to solve problems in my own business became something I realized could help other detailers facing those same challenges. Software built from real experience, for the people doing the actual work.
